Herlings Takes Moto One
While it was hometown favourite, Jeffrey Herlings of the Red Bull KTM factory team who won the opening MXGP moto with a near flag to flag performance in Arnhem this afternoon, the charge of young KTM rider, Lucas Coenen cannot be forgotten.
Back in around 25th place on the opening lap, the Belgian raced through the field to finish in second place, not far behind Herlings. Sensational from both Herlings and Coenen.
Jeffrey Herlings: I tried to save some energy for the second moto, so only rode as fast as I needed to. We saw Lucas was fast. Don't forget I am only back on the bike a few weeks, so don't forget that.
