While discussions and rumors are numerous in the World Championship paddock every weekend, the Honda Motoblouz SR team is pleased to officially announce the signing of Kevin Horgmo for the 2026 season!
Eighth in the World Championship and best rookie last season in his 450cc debut, Kevin has reached another step forward this winter; he has already got several top-five finishes in MXGP since the start of the season, and he currently leads the Elite MX1 French championship. And in addition to his results on the track, he brings us his serenity and enthusiasm every day. One of the team's goals was to continue with him in 2026, which quickly came reality and will allow Kevin to be fully focus on this season now that his future is secured.
Kevin Horgmo: “I’m very happy to sign another year with the team, they approached me quite early this season and I want to show them my commitment with an early signing. Now it’s done, out of my head, we can focus on this season! I know what I have here, I’m very happy working with Josse, Yves, Maxime and all the team. To show that I’m committed to them I want to sign early; I’m very happy about the work we do together, and I think we still can progress. For me it’s important to look how much I already progress, how much I can progress in the future and I think that with this team we can do a lot. It’s possible to do better and better, I think we are, me and the team, far from our full potential and I’m very pleased to stay another year. I like living in South of France, it makes life a little bit easier and it’s good mentally, we also have great physical training conditions. The team has a good support from Honda, every year we got more and more support and I’m very grateful for this opportunity to stay with team. We are very early in the season, I want to finish the season strong and then work good next winter. Thanks to the team and to our partners!”
Josse Sallefranque: “We're really happy to continue our partnership with Kevin! Since his move to the MXGP class, he's always improving; we've had good results with him, and with Yves we feel there's still room for more improvement. Thanks to our partners, we quickly found solutions to keep him with us for next season, as one of the team's goals has always been to build for the long term.”
Yves Demaria: “Very happy, re-signing Kevin was one of our priorities as we are happy with him. He is easy to work with, he fully embraces the team's mentality, he is also very professional, ambitious, and progress as well as the team itself. We found solutions to continue with him, he feels well within the team and everyone is very motivated to continue this great story!”
