Isak Gifting - A Year Ago
Leading into this coming weekends Swedish Grand Prix, I thought it might be a good idea to remind the fans heading to Uddevalla, that anything is possible. Isak Gifting finished with 4-9 last GP in Lommel, so he is fired up for his home GP this weekend.
Sweden might not have had a world motocross champion since way back in 1994, and they might struggle to even get riders on the podium at a GP, but last year, at the Uddevalla circuit, Gifting did what could only seem as impossible on his privateer Yamaha and led the best MXGP riders in the World.
Paul Malin, a former GP winner and winner of the Motocross of Nations knew the importance of his moment and called it beautifully.
A fan put his comments on the youtube video you are about to watch and it said it all for the local supporters: I was standing in the middle of one of the hills absolutely packed, and when isak came around to where we could see him, the Swedish crowd erupted into cheers so loud I couldn’t hear the bikes going by. That was a beautiful ride by Gifting. Even the commentators couldn’t believe their eyes, screaming for him to get going. I had the goosebumps for four entire laps.
