After long deliberation, Josiah Natzke has agreed to join the New Zealand team in the 2024 Motocross of Nations, set for Matterley Basin in a month’s time. Nathan Crawford was originally selected but has pulled out due to injury.

Crawford’s selection caused Natzke to mention he wouldn’t race for New Zealand in 2024 if selected, but obviously the chance to represent his country at a circuit like Matterley Basin was too much to say no.

“Got the call up to race for team New Zealand and we’re doing it,” Natzke said. “Spent some time thinking it over and, at the end of the day, I can’t let an opportunity slip by me or let my country down. I don’t hold grudges and it’s never been personal for me. Excited to hammer down the next couple weeks to be ready to represent all of New Zealand motocross with my teammates in England.”

Natzke will join Australian MX2 champion Brodie Connolly and New Zealand MX1 number one Hamish Harwood at Matterley Basin in the UK between October 4-6.
