Kay De Wolf in For Sommierois
Former World MX2 champion and one of the brightest stars to join the MXGP class in 2026, Kay De Wolf will be racing this coming weekend at Sommierois in France.
The Neestaan Husqvarna factory rider missed the chance to race last weekend at the Hawkstone Park International after the event was cancelled due to poor weather, needs time on the bike and this French international will be his debut race on the 450.
He will come up against some stiff opposition with fellow former MX2 champs in Tom Vialle and Maxime Renaux. Also Jeremy Seewer, Calvin Vlaanderen and Andrea Bonacorsi will all be racing their Ducati machine.
I won't be surprised if Jeffrey Herlings joins the list, but that is just my opinion. Of course, Herlings, de Wolf and Romain Febvre will all race the Lierop international in two weeks time, before flying to Argentina for the opening round of the 2026 MXGP championship.
