Kay De Wolf - MXoN Gallery
Former World MX2 champion Kay de Wolf once again dominated in MX2. The Motocross of Nations remains motocross’s purest contest - no championship points, no prize money, only the Chamberlain Trophy and the honour of a nation. For riders, it represents something beyond titles: something akin to the Olympics of Motocross
Saturday qualifying De Wolf underlined his world-class MX2 speed with P2, just 2.8 seconds off the top spot. Come Sunday’s opening race (MXGP + MX2) De Wolf delivered a trademark performance. From a difficult first lap, the Dutchman methodically picked his way forward, moving into eighth overall - and crucially - first in MX2 by the chequered flag.
Race two (MX2 + Open) De Wolf, once again flawless against the 450cc field, stormed to eighth overall and top MX2 to seal his second consecutive MXoN gold plate - a remarkable achievement in world competition - all while riding 250cc machinery.
From Indiana’s hard-pack dust at the 70th Motocross of Nations to podium celebrations across the 2025 MXGP season, Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing continues to set the bar high in every performance. De Wolf’s back-to-back MX2 gold plates underline his world-class precision and composure under pressure.
