Three days of ecstasy, thrilling wheel-to-wheel duels and a historic changing of the guard at the top of the all-time leaderboard: The 41st ADAC Supercross Dortmund once again turned the Westfalenhalle into a cauldron. While Greg Aranda defended his title as 'King of Dortmund' in a dramatic heart-stopping finale, Cedric Soubeyras was crowned the most successful driver in the event's history. From the youngest talents in the MAOAM Kids Race to the breathtaking freestyle spectacle – 25,000 fans celebrated a cross festival of superlatives over the weekend, which once again proved why Dortmund remains the cult event of Supercross.

Greg Aranda defends the throne in Dortmund
In an absolutely insane final, Frenchman Greg Aranda (Sturm Racing Team) secured the title of 'King of Dortmund' for the second time in a row. With a total of 69 points, he prevailed in a razor-thin finish against his teammate Maxime Desprey (67 points). "That was a tough fight against Maxime," Aranda summed up after his triumph. "You know how much I love competing in Dortmund. To be at the top here is always a privilege – even if these three days demand everything physically. I'm proud to have won this title for the Sturm team."

The day's victory on Sunday went to Australian Luke Clout (Kawasaki Motul Pfeil). After he was still struggling with the missed SX Cup title on Saturday, he dominated the final day with two victories in the three heats. "It honestly took me three days to crack the code for the rhythm section and jump triple-triple there," Clout admitted openly. "This track was one of the most special experiences of my career. I have proven that I can also be at the forefront in Europe. I felt like I was part of a family with Team Pfeil – I'd be happy to come back anytime!"

Soubeyras is the new 'King of Kings'
A historic moment occurred off the podium: Cedric Soubeyras took the sole lead in Dortmund's all-time list of the best with fourth place overall. He replaced his compatriot Florent Richier and is now statistically the most successful rider in the history of the ADAC Supercross in Dortmund. After missing this milestone by a tiny point last year, he is now alone at the top.

"It means an incredible amount to me to now be the 'King of Kings' after more than 15 years in the cauldron," Soubeyras explained, visibly moved. "Behind this title are countless races, big victories, but also painful crashes. I have written a whole life story here in the clay soil. Thank you, Dortmund! We'll definitely see each other again next year."

Dominance in SX2: Calvin Fonvieille crowns himself 'Prince of Dortmund'
In the SX2 class, there was no getting past car number 1 at the weekend: Calvin Fonvieille (KTM Sarholz Racing Team) dominated the action at will and confidently secured the title of 'Prince of Dortmund' with the maximum score of 75 points. After he had already wrested the ADAC SX Cup title from Jules Pietre on Friday and Saturday, he now replaced him as prince in the Westfalenhalle. Since 2019, Fonvieille has been on the podium in Dortmund every time - in 2026 he has now made the leap to the top. In addition, he secured the prize money of 500 euros for the Bell Holeshot Award.

"I've had good and bad years here in Dortmund, but 2026 was extraordinary. This weekend was almost surreal, all the races were perfect," a visibly moved Fonvieille summed up after his success. "I felt very comfortable on the bike. Thanks to the audience, you helped make this possible! Hopefully we'll see each other again next year in the big class."

Second place in the overall standings went to Frenchman Mickael Lamarque (51 points) ahead of American Jace Kessler (51 points), who made it onto the podium in his first guest appearance in Germany.

Paul Bloy (Dörr Motorsport – TRIUMPH Racing) provided a local highlight. He finished the weekend as the best German on sixth place overall and set an exclamation mark in the last of the three heats on Sunday with a strong third place. "I really like the triple crown format, ten laps of full push," Bloy said enthusiastically. "Hearing the fans while driving gives me goosebumps. Standing here is a great honour for me." He made a passionate appeal to the youngsters: "Kids, stay on the ball! You don't often have an experience like that."

Eddi Haustein reigns supreme at the MAOAM Kids Race
At the traditional Family Day in the Westfalenhalle, the MAOAM Kids Race was the focus of attention for the juniors of the SX4 class, where the prestigious title 'Mini Prince of Dortmund' was awarded. Eddi Haustein was crowned the undisputed ruler of the weekend, presenting an impeccable record: He secured victory on all three days and confidently won the title with the maximum score of 75 points.

Behind him, an exciting battle for the other podium places broke out: Bruno Lenarz secured second place in the event standings with 62 points. After finishing fourth on Friday, he improved to a strong second place on Saturday and Sunday. Third place on the podium went to Maximilian Tse An Auer with 60 points. He shone with extreme consistency and crossed the finish line in third place on all three days of the event.

Historic triumph and a new 'Mini Mini Prince' in SX5
Before the start of the youngest pilots, ten-year-old Nele, semi-finalist of 'The Voice Kids', created the right atmosphere in the Westfalenhalle with an impressive performance in front of a large audience. In the subsequent SX5 race, there was a historic home victory: Hannes Bremke, known as Sänger, won the thrilling showdown on Sunday against the dominator of the first two days. This was the first time that a Dortmund local hero won in the Westfalenhalle. "I was a bit scared at the end when Oskar came closer," Hannes confessed after the race. "But I tried everything to stay in front and it worked." Despite the second place on Sunday, Oskar Gajewski was crowned the overall winner of the three-day classification after his victories on Friday and Saturday and is thus the new 'Mini Mini Prince of Dortmund'.

Three days, three winners: Pius Bergmann wins the SX-NEXT event classification
In the SX NEXT junior class, the talents fought thrilling duels over three days – in the end there were three different winners. After two energy-sapping days of racing, the drivers mobilized all their reserves for the grand finale on Sunday.

Pius Bergmann (Motorrad Waldmann) finished seventh on the last day to secure the overall victory in the event standings with a total of 61 points. "That was a hell of a ride," summed up Bergmann, who fought until the end after two crashes and a strong catch-up race. "Every place counts. To be back at the top here after 2020 means a lot to me. The atmosphere was outstanding!" In addition to the overall victory, he received the SLT Sport Future prize money of 1,000 euros.

The day's victory on Sunday went to Leo Paukovic (Zweiradcenter Umbach). While he was hard to beat in Stuttgart, he only managed to jump to P1 on the third day in Dortmund. "I fought with myself and the bike setup all weekend, but I'm happy that I got everything together in the end," Paukovic said after his success.

Crowning finale: Freestyle spectacle sets emotional highlight
The fact that the freestyle program literally swept the audience from their seats at the end of each day of the event was not least due to the top-class line-up around the US boy Wyatt Fontenot. The former rodeo rider from Louisiana was visibly moved by his first guest appearance in Germany: "This is the loudest crowd I've ever experienced," was Fontenot's conclusion after his debut in the Westfalenhallen. Together with the world-class riders Filip Podmol, Julien Vanstippen and Petr Pilat, he created a sporting exclamation mark that sent the fans into ecstasy until the last second.

Dortmund has delivered: PS party and young talent
"We look back on three days full of adrenaline and top sporting performances, which have once again proven why Dortmund is the heart of German Supercross," sums up Jürgen Hieke, Board Member Sport of ADAC Westfalen e.V. A total of 25,000 spectators created an atmosphere over the weekend that brought the Westfalenhalle to a boil. "Three days of full-throttle action, breathtaking freestyle spectacle and an atmosphere that is second to none - that's pure goosebumps," Hieke continues.

A special concern for him is the promotion of talent: "A real highlight for us was the new SX Next class. It was impressive to see the ambition with which the young German drivers offered exciting sport at the top level. This allows us to look positively into the future." After the fireworks is before the fireworks and the date for the continuation has already been set. From 15 to 17 January 2027, the 42nd ADAC Supercross Dortmund will once again thrill the masses. Advance ticket sales will start in March this year.
