Red Bull KTM rider, Simon Langenfelder has won the Saturday qualification race for the MX2 boys, with the German catching and passing early leader, Sasha Coenen, who is still struggling with his collarbone and dropped back to sixth place. Red hot Guillem Farres was third behind Langenfelder and Everts.

Simon Langenfelder: What a tricky track, so slippery and some kickers. We saw a lot of yellow flags and medical flags. Happy about this one, not a good start, but got through.

Championship points continue to go in the favour of Farres, with him leading nicely now. Here are the top five: Guillem Farres 571 points, Sacha Coenen 557pts, Simon Längenfelder 531pts, Camden Mc Lellan 508pts and Liam Everts 486pts.

MX2 Qualification Race

Coenen led the MX2 qualifier from Janis Reisulis, Mikula, Lata, Langenfelder, Zancz, McLellan, Everts, Karssemakers and Karlis Reisulis. Farres was back in 12th. Lap three and Farres moved into ninth position, and the lead by Coenen over Reisulis was three seconds.

Lap five the gap between Coenen and Reisulis was four seconds, with Farres into seventh spot and chasing Everts for sixth place. Langenfelder pushing hard to get past Reisulis in second. Langenfelder a nice pass to move into second, and the gap was quickly 3.3 between the German and Coenen.

Everts and then Farres both passed Mikula and the top ten on lap seven was Coenen, Langenfelder, Reisulis, McLellan, Everts, Farres, Mikula, Lata, Zanocz and Karlis Reisulis. Langenfelder all over Coenen for the lead and Janis Reisulis and McLellan also closing up on Sasha.

Langenfelder, Reisulis and McLellan all passed Coenen, to drop him to fourth place. McLellan into second place and Coenen was also passed by Everts and Farres. Coenen, who hasn’t been riding since his injury clearly not able to contain the pace.

McLellan crashed and dropped back to fifth place and Coenen getting some hurry up from Mikula. Lap 10 it was Langenfelder with a five second lead over Everts, with Farres now third, then came Janis Reisulis, Coenen, Mikula, Lata, Zanocz and Karlis Reisulis. Langenfelder wins it, with Farres in third and Coenen in sixth.
