Red Bull KTM factory rider Simon Langenfelder has won the MX2 qualification race with a flag to flag victory, and gained the red plate for his troubles. A bit of chaos happened behind him, but second in the MX2 race was Thibault Benistant and third Karlis Alberts, Reisulis.

Last round winner and red plate owner entering today, Andrea Adamo finished 11th and former red plate owner and defending World MX2 champion, Kay De Wolf crashed in turn one and finished in seventh spot.

Championship points are now Simon Längenfelder 473 points, Andrea Adamo 466pts, Kay de Wolf 440pts, Liam Everts 383pts and Thibault Benistant 346.

Simon Langenfelder: It is nice to have the red plate, one guy takes it and another takes it home. I had a good start, had some nice lines and enjoy the race out there.

MX2 Qualification race

De Wolf down in the first corner and Sasha Coenen, Everts and Adamo went down in the second corner, as Langenfelder held the lead early. Coenen was 22nd, Adamo 20th and de Wolf 14th. Only 22 in the race. After a lap the top ten was Langenfelder, Reisulis, Benistant, Valk, Mikula, Braceras, Valin, Prugnieres, Everts and Oliver. De Wolf was 12th, Adamo 17th and Coenen 20th.

Lap three the lead by Langenfelder over Reisulis was 1.3 seconds, with Benistant still third, then Valk, Mikula, Valin, Prugnieres, Everts, de Wolf, and Oliver, Adamo was 14th and Coenen still 20th. Everts and de Wolf passed Mikula and Prugnieres dropped to 10th spot.

Lap four and Everts into fifth as he passed Valin and the top ten was Langenfelder, Reisulis, Benistant, Valk, Everts, Valin, de Wolf, Mikula, Oliver and Prugnieres. Adamo 12th and Coenen 16th. Lap even and the lead by Langenfelder was 8.2 seconds, with Reisulis second, then Benistant, Valk, Everts, Valin, de Wolf, Oliver, Mikula, and Farres. Adamo still 12th. Langenfelder won from Benistant and Reisulis.
