Langenfelder Wins Saturday
Around a magnificent Foxhill circuit, defending MX2 champion, Simon Langenfelder has won a dramatic MX2 qualification races, after Guillem Farres lead most of the race, but crashed in the final lap. Farres did finish second with Camden McLellan third.
Coenen with the early lead in the MX2 qualifier, Farres was second, then Everts, Mikula, Askew, McLellan, Askew, Walvoort, Langenfelder, Mustoe, and Karlis Reisulis 10th. Farres into the lead as Coenen was suddenly 2.5 seconds back, with Askew dropping to ninth place.
Top ten on lap three was Farres, Coenen, Everts, McLellan, Mikula, Langenfelder, Janis Reisulis, Walvoort, Karlis Reisulis and Zanchi 10th. Coenen was eight seconds down on Farres and Everts was closing up on his fellow Belgian, but he also had to deal with McLellan on his back wheel.
Everts dropped to fifth as McLellan and Langenfelder passed him, and the top ten was Farres, Coenen, McLellan, Langenfelder, Everts, Janis Reisulis, Mikula, Karlis Reisulis, Lata and Walvoort.
A great battle between Coenen, McLellan and Langenfelder, with Langenfelder moving into second with a pass on both Coenen and McLellan. McLellan also passed Coenen and Everts was looking to make a pass. Farres held a 7.4 second lead over Langenfelder. A crash by Farres handed the lead to Langenfelder, who won it from Farres and McLellan.
