  • Race Report

MX2 series leader, Simon Langenfelder has won the Swedish Grand Prix after a tough opening moto and a very impressive second moto victory. The German stopped the momentum of rivals Kay De Wolf and Andrea Adamo, who both beat him in the opening moto. Langenfelder went 5-1 to win from De Wolf with 3-3 and Andrea Adamo 1-8.

Simon Langenfelder: What can I say, I turned it around. Didn't have the best starts all day long, but managed to come out second in the corner. I didn't expect to win the overall. It was a nice day coming back from outside the top ten in that first lap and still be fast behind others. Happy to take the overall.

Kay De Wolf: I didn't lose too many points and did what I had to do and looking forward to going to my home GP and hopefully we can get a bunch of points there. A solid weekend with 3-3-3.

Championship points are now Simon Längenfelder 754 points, Kay de Wolf 714pts, Andrea Adamo 695pts, Sacha Coenen 599pts, Thibault Benistant 558pts. A 40 points lead for the German heading to Arnhem.
