Langenfelder Wins Switzerland
Defending MX2 champion, Simon Langenfelder has won the Grand Prix of Switzerland with a solid 1-3 performance. Second was Triumph factory rider, Guillem Farres who scored 4-1 results.
Third overall was Liam Everts of the Nestaan Husqvarna team, with 3-2 results. World championship points are now Simon Längenfelder 149 points; 2. Guillem Farres 127pts, Sacha Coenen 124pts, Camden Mc Lellan 121pts, Liam Everts 121pts.
Simon Langenfelder: It wasn't easy. The track was rough and one line, but fun to ride. The lapped riders, played so much in these races. I made some mistakes, but the lappers kill me. It was a good one. Really tricky, but I like that. I made it happen and got the red plate back.
Guillem Farres: Feeling good, but frustrated with the first moto, got together with a lapper, but it happens. I could have gottne the overall, so that makes me angry.
Liam Everts: I think I lost a lot in the start and it was hard to pass. Some tough weekends, been dealing with some things, but happy to be on the box and we are going to fight hard.
MX2 Moto Two
Farres and Everts dicing for the lead in the second MX2 moto, with Karlis Reisulis third, then Langenfelder, Lata, Coenen, Grau, Mikula, Valk, Valin and Karssemakers, McLellan in 15th position. Farres getting away a little and McLellan into ninth position. McLellan now a mistake and dropping back, and on lap two was last and out of the race.
On lap two the top ten was Farres, Everts, Reisulis, Langenfelder, Coenen, Lata, Grau, Valin, Mikula and Reisulis. The lead by Farres on lap three was 2.2 over Everts and Coenen crashed and dropped back to 8th place.

Lap five and Farres held three seconds over Everts, with Reisulis nine seconds back, and Langenfelder 11 seconds off the pace. Then came Lata, Valin, Coenen, Mikula, Reisulis, and Walvoort 10th. Langenfelder all over Reisulis for third place. Everts just 1.5 behind Farres and maybe a battle for the lead coming? Langenfelder into third place, but 10 seconds behind the leader.
Everts chasing Farres hard and looking for a chance to get a GP victory, despite him carrying minor injuries. Valin all over Lata as they fight for fifth position and both making up ground on fourth places Reisulis.
Farres opened the gap between himself and Everts, with it 2.4 on lap 13, and Langenfelder was 10.7 behind. Soon after though, Everts again gained on the leader as it was 1.9. Top ten was Farres, Everts, Langenfelder, Reisulis, Lata, Valin, Coenen, Mikula, Reisulis and Walvoort in 10th.
Everts just one second behind with three laps remaining and Langenfelder also making ground on the two in front. Lata moved past Reisulis and Valin also got around the Latvian. Farres again opened the lead to nearly two seconds, with Langenfelder now nine seconds off the Spaniard. Farres wins the moto and Langenfelder the GP.
