Defending AMA 450 motocross champion, Jett Lawrence went 1-1 today at the Thunder Valley round of the AMA Nationals, and in doing so also took the lead in the championship points. Jett Lawrence: I felt a lot better, better lines and its a shitty track and no traction. Props to Lucas, he rode unreal and to learn this track, which is difficult to learn, he did well. I am kind of getting used to riding with my injury, on the arch of my foot. It wasn't the best track, but good enough to get a 1-1.

Lucas Coenen: I mean, it was amazing I enjoyed it out there and with the Roger De Coster gear its amazing. Now I will go back and race our series and we will see when I come back. Jett is the best rider in the world, if I am honest.

450 Moto Two

Jett Lawrence led his brother, Hunter and Coenen, but then Hunter went down and Deegan in seventh place. Coenen into second place and Plessinger third. Lawrence back in ninth place ahead of Haarup. Deegan up to fifth place and Prado in eight place.

Lawrence quickly 2.4 ahead of Coenen, with Plessinger third, then Webb, Deegan, Hampshire, Lawrence, Prado, Marchbanks and Haarup 10th. Lawrence lead opened to three seconds over Coenen. Deegan into fourth place and Hunter Lawrence fifth.

Coenen making a little ground on Lawrence with the lead now 2.9 seconds and Plessinger 10 seconds off the leader, with Deegan 11 seconds off Lawrence. Lawrence just controlling the race with Coenen remaining around three seconds back.

Lawrence still in the lead with a four second gap to Coenen, with Deegan 15 seconds back, then Plessinger, Hunter Lawrence, Hampshire, Prado, Marchbanks, Webb and Ferrandis. Coenen dropped to five seconds back, with Deegan 20 seconds off the leader and Hunter Lawrence closing up on the American rider.

With 10 minutes remaining, Coenen might make a charge to the front, but Jett Lawrence is so smart, he probably won’t let him. Lawrence wins from Coenen and Deegan.
