Lawrences Out of Nations

Team Australia is going to look at lot difference at this years Monster Energy Motocross of Nations, set for Ernee in France, set for the first weekend of October, as Hunter Lawrence mentioned in the press conference after his Pala victory and then again, early this morning, on the Steve Matthes Pulpmx Show that he and his brother are out of MXoN for 2026.

"We are electing to take this year off (MXoN), especially for the (HRC) team. It’s been six or seven years our off-season has been two weeks at most. Our team needs it, we feel like we need it. It’s not forever it is just for this year. No Paris Supercross, no AusX Open, no overseas events. We will be back at it next year. I think we owe it to the team to care about them, because they are always away travelling. So everyone takes the month of October off."

Bad news for the Ernee event, but then again, lets see if any of the younger Aussies can make top ten, or surprise the world. Have to be now looking at Kyle Webster, Jed Beaton and maybe Jake Cannon as the team. Still a good team, but victories or podiums are out of question.

With the recent chaos in Australia, with a round of the Australian supercross championship set for the same weekend as the Nations, some things will have to be sorted to get Webster and Beaton to the Ernee event.

Team USA with maybe Eli Tomac, Chase Sexton and Haiden Deegan, Team France, maybe with Romain Febvre, Maxime Renaux and Tom Vialle and Team Netherlands, Jeffrey Herlings, Calvin Vlaanderen and Kay de Wolf will be rubbing their hands together. Or how about Team Belgium, with the Coenen brothers and Liam Everts. We might see Belgium back on top of the box in Nations battle?
