The calmness and precision of Liam Everts victory today in Portugal was just beautiful to watch. Going 1-1 as the Red Bull KTM Factory rider cruised around the circuit was brilliant and it was his second consecutive GP victory, having won in Trentino two weeks ago.

Despite missing the opening GP with a thumb injury and coming back having missed important time on the bike, the Belgian youngster is slowly and surely catching series leader Kay De Wolf, who struggled big time in the mud of Agueda.

Everts again in the lead of the second MX2 moto, behind him came Elzinga, Langenfelder, Osterhagen, Lucas Coenen, Prugnieres, Chambers, Bruce, Walvoort, Karssmakers, Martinez, de Wolf in 12th. De Wolf amazingly quickly into seventh. Langenfelder went down and hurt his shoulder and might be out of the race.

Everts looking magnificent in front, now six seconds ahead of second placed man Osterhagen, then came Elzinga, Lucas Coenen, Prugnieres, Walvoort, Bruce, Chambers, Ambjornson, Martinez in 10th and de Wolf again crashed and back in 13th.

Lap three and Everts held a massive 18 second lead over Osterhagen, then Elzinga was 23 seconds off Everts pace. De Wolf was ninth and Adamo 15th. Slow going as this is now just enduro racing and on lap five the lead by Everts was 28 seconds, then came Osterhagen, Elzinga, Lucas Coenen, Prugnieres, de Wolf, Walvoort, Benistant, Martinez and Haarup 10th.

Everts went down, but with a 50 second lead over second place, it didn’t really matter, he was just 37 seconds in front after the slip over. Osterhagen a mistake and on lap eight the top ten was Everts, Elzinga, Lucas Coenen, Prugnieres, Walvoort, Benistant, Osterhagen, Haarup, De Wolf, and Adamo. Everts wins from Elzinga and Mikkel Haarup.
