The 13th round of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship heads to one of the sport's most iconic venues as the MXGP of Czech Republic returns to the legendary Loket circuit on 25-26 July. Following an exciting weekend at the Monster Energy MXGP of Great Britain, the championship now arrives in the heart of Europe for another spectacular event, bringing together an impressive 244 riders across five championship classes.
The historic Loket circuit, nestled among the forests of western Czech Republic, has long been regarded as one of the crown jewels of the FIM Motocross World Championship calendar. Its natural hillside layout, demanding terrain and passionate fans have created countless memorable moments over the years, making it a favourite destination for both riders and spectators alike.
While the world's best riders will once again battle for crucial championship points in the premier MXGP and MX2 classes, the weekend will also welcome the stars of tomorrow with three European Championship categories joining the programme. Riders competing in EMX65, EMX85 and EMX2T will all line up in Loket, showcasing the depth of motocross talent from across Europe. In total, 244 riders feature on the official entry lists for the weekend, underlining the popularity of the Czech venue and the importance of this event within both the World Championship and European Championship calendars.
As the 2026 season enters its decisive stages, every point becomes increasingly valuable in the MXGP and MX2 title races, while the European Championship competitors will be eager to shine on one of motocross' most prestigious circuits.

In MXGP, Lucas Coenen's lead over Jeffrey Herlings has been cut to just 11 points after the Honda rider swept both motos in Great Britain, while in MX2, Guillem Farres has taken over the red plate on the back of three consecutive Grand Prix double-race wins and now holds an identical 11-point advantage over his closest challenger Sacha Coenen heading into Loket. With both championships separated by the same razor-thin margin, and Loket marking the first round of the rest of these series, the destiny of two world titles will be shaped over the remainder of the season starting this weekend.
