Nestaan Husqvarna factory rider Lucas Coenen has won the Saturday MX2 qualifier in Switzerland today. The Belgian won from Kay De Wolf and Simon Langenfelder. One point gained, but the series leader by De Wolf is still huge.

Lucas Coenen: I felt it was a good race. I had a good jump and I was happy about that. Did my own race and not pushing too much, because this track is tricky.

Lucas Coenen led the MX2 qualifier from de Wolf, Adamo, Langenfelder, Everts, Elzinga, Benistant, Reisulis, Sasha Coenen and Haarup in 10th. A lot of riders stuck on the gate. Surprisingly, no restart.

After one lap it was Lucas Coenen, De Wolf, Adamo, Langenfelder, Everts, Elzinga, Benistant, Haarup, Reisulis and Sasha Coenen. Not a lot happening as the lead by Coenen over De Wolf was 1.4 seconds and Langenfelder seven seconds back in third.

Lap seven the lead by Coenen was 2.1 and Everts moved into fourth place as he passed his team-mate Adamo. Zanchi moved into the top ten with Sasha Coenen dropping to 15th place and Chambers 16th after being last and stuck on the gate, but then had a crash. De Wolf all over Coenen for the lead on lap 11.

De Wolf down and remains second, but now a long way off the lead Coenen. Nothing else happening in this moto, a bit of a typical MX2 moto from 2024 to be honest. Top ten on lap 13 was Lucas Coenen, de Wolf, Langenfelder, Everts, Adamo, Haarup, Elzinga, Reisulis, Benistant and McLellan moved into 10th, passing Zanchi. Langenfelder all over De Wolf for second, but couldn’t pass. Coenen, De Wolf and Langenfelder.
