Star Racing Yamaha rider Shane Mcelrath has won his second main event in a row as he charges towards next Sundays third race in Salt Lake City. Series leader going into this morning race was Blake Sexton, who crashed out early and fought his way through the pack eventually finishing in fourth place. Second on the night was Colt Nichols and third Jeremy Martin.

"We got to make the fans feel like the are here," Mcelrath said. "Glory to God. We did a lot of praying and its tough. My pray was to give it my all tonight and whatever happens happens and it is good."

"I washed the front and that is it," Sexton said. "I came from almost dead last and we need to be better and ready for Sunday."

The 250 main event started with Colt Nichols leading from last Sundays winner Shane Mcelrath and series leader Chase Sexton who held fourth place fell and dropped to 17th place. The fall put Mcelrath into the series points lead by seven points.

Sexton was up to 10th place and charging hard as Nichols continued to lead from Mcelrath and Jeremy Martin. Sexton moved into ninth place and that seven point lead by Mcelrath was slowly slimming. Into eight place and just a point separated the two leaders in the points.

Mcelrath ook the lead as Sexton moved into seventh place and a long list of riders were just ahead of Sexton, so he was moving up fast. Sexton into fifth place and then closed up on fourth place. Mcelrath extened his lead to two seconds over his team-mate Nichols, and Sexton moved into fourth place and started hunting down Jeremy Martin.

Mcelrath wins it and the points with Sexton are equal going into next Sundays event.
