MTB - Electric

Posted on May 24, 2019

Motocross riders and fans love their MTBing, and Electric bike manufacturer SUR-RON is moving apace with the introduction of the up-spec, LB X-Series RS Black Edition model of its fast-selling off-roader priced at £4495 RRP including VAT.

The LB X-Series RS Black Edition is expected to arrive in the UK in June and comes fitted with top-spec, multi-adjustable Rock Shox Debonair forks in a technical specification that includes a 60V/6kw power train with a removal Panasonic Lithium-ion battery pack.

The forged, light-weight alloy frame combines with hi-spec components to produce a total machine weight of just 47kg.

Four-piston, hydraulic disc brakes front and rear take care of the stopping duties and an LCD dash with a USB charger point add to the functionality.

Aimed at youth and adult riders, the Sur-Ron boasts a climbing ability of over 45° and offers hours of near silent fun with a range of 40 to 60 miles per charge and a top speed of over 45 mph. A re-charge time of 2.5 to 3.5 hours adds to the practicality, but the quick-fit, replaceable battery pack design offers additional extended riding time.

A road legal version will be launched this year and a full-size MX machine with a 90V/25kw motor is under development and planned to go on sale in 2020.

The Sur-Ron range is distributed in the UK by the long-established Urban Moto Distribution company, offering a full UK technical, spares and marketing support programme.
