MXGP of Turkey - Must Watch
I think I speak for all of us, when I say, we are all hanging on the edge of our seat as every MXGP round arrives. Who will it be from the big three, or will we see some surprises, as we have seen a little bit of late. Okay, the big three continue to win the GP’s, but names like Romain Febvre, Jeremy Seewer, Glenn Coldenhoff and others have poked their nose into the front of the pack and causes, Gajser, Prado and Herlings problems.
Turkey is a place Jeffrey Herlings is yet to lose at, in four occasions the Dutchman has won in Turkey, but in saying that, Tim Gajser has also shown a liking for the Turkish track. I am bummed to miss this one, but I am flying to China the Monday after this weekend and couldn’t get flights to fit, but we will still be giving you a huge coverage.
As I mentioned, MXLarge heads to China and this is another brilliant stop in the MXGP calendar. I loved it in 2019, and I am sure this year’s event will even top that one. Shanghai is a beautiful city, and the Chinese are always very welcoming and well organized. Hot temperatures will no doubt help Herlings, who seems to thrive on the hot conditions, and he also won the only GP there in 2019. Prado won the MX2 class and will also be tough to beat.
But first Afyonkarahisar, in the middle of this beautiful country and that festive feel from the GP. Turkey is one of the GPs that run a huge festival next to the track and thousands and thousands of people turn out. Like in Indonesia, the Turks love a good concert.
So, sit back on Saturday and Sunday this week, watch it on MXGP.tv and also the complete coverage on MXlarge, because we will be covering the weekend with indepth race reports, interviews, highlights and everything else.
