MXoN - All-time Winners
While Australia has won the 2025 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations, one thing is clear, this second victory in two years running, won't be their last. With Hunter being 26 and Jett 22, their road to move wins in the MXoN could be a long one and as good as riders like Lucas Coenen, Chase Sexton, Haiden Deegan, Kay De Wolf or Sasha Coenen are, Team Australia just look too strong for the time being.
Amazingly, since 1947, only 10 nations have won this event, with four teams often dominating (USA, UK, Belgium, Sweden). Now, Australia continue to show us that they took, want to have their dominance in an era of the MXoN.
Already climbing up the MXoN victory rankings, you just wonder what these two young Lawrence brothers can do and how close they might get to the MXoN legendary teams, like Team Great Britain in the 1950s and 60s, or the Swedes and Belgium in the 1960s and 70s. Or maybe Team USA in their 13 year streak in the 1980s and 90s.
It is hard to see them catch those famous teams, as Team USA for instance had a stack of riders over three or four decades to take their 23 wins, or Team GB with their 16 wins, or even catch Belgium with their 15 wins.
France has seven wins, that is without question catchable and Sweden also have seven wins. There is nothing stopping the Lawrence brothers from making Australia the fourth most successful country in this event and that sure would be special, considering it took them 40 years to get the first one.
Australia join Italy who also have two wins and USSR, who won twice in the 1970s. Czechoslovakia and The Netherlands have one each. Germany have one win at this event. Another win for Australia in 2026 and they will become the sixth most successful country in the MXoN history.
Of course, Great Britain, Sweden, Belgium and USA also have a bunch of Trophee des Nations wins to their names, but that all 250 class event ended decades ago.
