It is a big weekend for motocross and even with the GP and AMA scene on pause, we have a lot of the national championships throughout Europe to enjoy. While three series are clearly the best in Europe, those being the British, Dutch and German championships, the Dutch sand of Markelo is probably the stand out as far as racing goes.

All eyes will be on The Netherlands this weekend as Romain Febvre tries to continue his brilliant run in 2025. The current red plate owner of the MXGP championship and winner of the last round of the Dutch Masters, the Frenchman will want to once again beat the king of the sand, Jeffrey Herlings, right in “The Bullets” backyard.

Grand Finale of the Dutch Masters of Motocross Coming to Markelo for the grand finale of the Dutch Masters of Motocross. On Sunday, May 18, the final points for this prestigious championship will be awarded, and we’ll find out who the 2025 champions will be.

Febvre appears to be on course for his first Dutch Masters title in the 500cc class. He holds a 26-point lead over Jago Geerts, with Andrea Bonacorsi trailing by 32 points. Febvre will certainly face strong competition in Markelo from five-time World Champion Jeffrey Herlings, who is returning to top form.

Cas Valk is the clear favourite in the 250cc class. So far, he has won all four motos and holds a 32-point lead over David Braceras, with Janis Martins Reisulis 37 points behind. Reigning champion Rick Elzinga has struggled with injuries early in the season, but will no doubt give his all to deliver a strong performance in Markelo.

The 125cc class is also shaping up for an exciting finale. Douwe van Mechgelen leads the standings, but with just a 5-point advantage over Dean Gregoire, anything can still happen. Dani Heitink sits in third, ahead of Timo Heuver and Vencislav Toshev.

The 85cc class is far from decided as well, with Torre van Mechgelen and Lucas Leok currently tied in points. Harry Dale trails by only six points, and Casey Karstrom is just eight points behind. This battle promises plenty of fireworks.

ADAC Masters - Molln

Veteran racer, Max Nagl will want to again take it to names like Maximilian Spies, Roan Van de Moosdijk, Adam Sterry, the Koch brothers, Jordi Tixier and many others around the beautiful Molln circuit. As always, the ADAC probably give the best presentation when it comes to the complete show, with big line-ups in all classes, and of course, their regular live stream service.

The Grambeker Heidering circuit presents the pilots with very special challenges for the second round of the ADAC Masters, due to the changing and often quite slippery surface: the sandy to slightly earthy ground demands all their driving skills from the riders at 1,630 meters over eight jumps, a whoop section, five tables as well as step ups and step downs.

The circuit is very visible to the spectators, a grandstand directly on the starting straight allows all fans to follow the exciting battles for positions during the race.

Motul British Motocross Championship

While in the UK, impressive names like Conrad Mewse, Tommy Searle, Billy Askew, Bobby Bruce and Jake Nicholl will all be wanting to keep their names in the eyes of the fans. Set for Canada Heights, a very nice British circuit and with the live stream to make sure we don’t miss any of the action, this will be an enjoyable one to watch.

Nestled in Swanley, Kent, Canada Heights stands as a testament to history, once a campsite for Canadian troops during World War I. Since 1952, it's been a cornerstone of off-road motorcycle sports, hosting events from local competitions to international races.

Legendary Terrain: The circuit's layout, with its long straights and sharp turns on tricky slopes, challenges riders' endurance and skill, demanding precision and determination for victory.

From Past to Present: Despite its humble beginnings, Canada Heights underwent a transformation in 1985, becoming a premier motorcycling destination thanks to support from the Sidcup Club, the Sports Council, and sponsors.

French Elite

The time for the fourth round of the season has arrived for the Elite riders. After Lacapelle-Marival, Pernes-les-Fontaines and Castelnau-de-Lévis, they will meet again in a few days on the Gaillac-Toulza track, a few kilometres from Toulouse.

This is the first time since 2017 that a 24MX Tour event has been organized on site. At the time, Jimmy Clochet and Valentin Teillet had won. In the big guns, the season is for the moment dominated by the official Honda SR Motoblouz Kevin Horgmo.

The Norwegian is on a two-brace streak and will once again be the man to beat. Excellent since the beginning of the year, Adrien Malaval is in second place in the provisional standings and confirms his rise in power. The likeable TMX Competition driver will be one of the men to watch.

Just like Bogdan Krajewski who has passed a milestone in recent weeks. P4 in the provisional standings for his MX1 debut, Tom Guyon feels better and better in his new category and will be looking to offer a podium to the Tech32 team.

Also to be followed is the defending champion Maxime Desprey who was unsuccessful in Castelnau with a crash and a retirement in the first round (DNF/5). The Burgundian is out for revenge after losing big points. Sixth in the standings on his Stark Varg, David Herbreteau will also be present to confirm his good results.
