Paris SX and Legends
Probably no single event has attracted more legends of the sport than the Paris supercross. Sure, three different stadiums have been used, from Bercy, to Lille and now at its current and seemingly future home, Paris La Défense Arena, which will come alive this weekend for yet another spectacular in the most romantic city in the world, Paris.
From the early days of David Bailey, Ricky Johnson, Jeff Ward, Johnny O’Mara, Ron Lechien, Jeff Stanton, Jean Michel Bayle, Jeremy McGrath, to now, hundreds of world and AMA champions have stood on the Paris supercross podium.
You name it, they have ridden it, from Stefan Everts, Ricky Carmichael, Antonio Cairoli, James Stewart, Chad Reed, Cooper Webb, Mickeal Pichon, Eric Geboers, Jett and Hunter Lawrence, Georges Jobe and many more.
Plenty of GP riders and champions have also raced Paris/Bercy, from current MXGP champion, Romain Febvre, Tom Vialle, Gautier Paulin, Clement Desalle, David Vuillemin, Marvin Musquin, and as mentioned above, Stefan Everts, Antonio Cairoli and Mickeal Pichon.
We put together this very cool gallery for us, from some of those legends. Sit back and enjoy what has been some of the former Grand Prix racers doing their thing around this indoor race. Images Pascal Haudiquert, Ray Archer and Geoff Meyer
