Defending MXGP champion Jorge Prado has put down the marker as he clocked a sensational lap time to take pole for this afternoons MXGP qualification race. The Spaniard did a time of 1.48.058, with Tim Gajser more than a second slower in second, Jeffrey Herlings was third, nearly two seconds off the time of Prado, and the other of the big four, Romain Febvre was way back in 27th place. Might be bad news for everyone but Prado this afternoon, although the rain might be coming later today.
