Prado - What the World Thinks
The World media are very busy with the Jorge Prado situation and we thought we would get together many of the leading US media. Some great insight from Jason Thomas, who does a very good podcast for livemotocross in the UK, also stuff from Swapmoto and Vitalmx.
I haven't always had the best of times with Jorge, and while I am nearly always positive about riders, Jorge twice declined interviews from me in 2024, because he said I make stuff up, and believe me, that is not correct, because I pride myself on being as honest as possible.
In saying that, I also know what US team mechanics think of themselves and they often don't take negative comments easily, so Jorge and the mechanics might just be too similar and that is where the problem is?
Still, I feel for Prado, because he is one of the sports all-time legends, with four World MX titles and 49 GP wins. He belongs with the best of the best in GP and he isn't a quitter.
Anyone calling him that, without question doesn't have his credentials and wouldn't know what it takes to win four world motocross championships. So, most peoples opinions on him cannot be taken too seriously.
I just want to see him back on a bike he loves and preferably, back in Europe, but it seems he will more than likely want to show the US media, fans and anyone else, including Kawasaki, that he can win in the US, but on a KTM.
