Seems some people didn't get the all new points system for the MXGP and MX2 championships at round one of the series in Argentina. I myself even was confused (nothing new there) as I looked at Jorge Prado on 50 points for the championship and what rushed through my head for a second, was, he didn't go 1-1, so it will take an old guy like me to a little while to catch on.

As we all remember back in France in 2022, there was a riders strike by some of the leading competitors for the MXGP qualification race and while that is now a long way from our memories, the new qualification points system will make sure you race on Saturday, or lose a bunch of points in the championship race.
