Romain Febvre - Gallery
Back in 2015, when Romain Febvre won the MXGP World championship in his rookie season, it would have been easy to assume more titles would come, and while the Kawasaki factory rider has been one of the main men in MXGP championship fights for a decade now, that second World title never came.
Of course, that 2015 season was the year of Ryan Villopoto vs Antonio Cairoli, but both picked up injuries, as did Max Nagl, who led the series earlier. Just like in 2015, both Febvres bigger rivals, Tim Gajser and Jeffrey Herlings are out injured, making the Kawasaki riders job a little easier.
Now, as he sits with the red plate entering the Loket round of the championship, he must start to feel that maybe, just maybe he can win title number two. We arrive at a circuit he has won on three occasions and 10 years ago, he arrived at Loket coming off two GP wins in a row. 2015 and 2025 is a long gap for waiting, and Loket might play a major part in the Frenchman winning title number two.
