Rumours, Truths and News
It has been a crazy week, with so many rider changes for 2026 and it sound like its going to be exciting on both sides of the Atlantic. While we don't really like rumours, they are out there and of course, we know what is true and what is not, but it isn't our job to release riders changes, we leave that to when the official information comes out and most of those press releases won't be seen for months, some not until 2026. Below are some of the leading media and their rumour details.
It is no secret that everyone in the paddock last weekend in Finland were talking about Jeffrey Herlings to HRC, Tim Gajser to Yamaha and so much more. Did we also mention Jorge Prado maybe returning to MXGP? Or Kay De Wolf moving to MXGP? Man, I want all these things to happen.
Whatever happens, 2026 is going to be epic, but with Lucas Coenen improving every week, sticking with the same team, and if Herlings and Gajser do change teams, the young Belgian has a huge advantage going into 2026. Crazy to think both Herlings and Gajser will change teams they have been in forever, but that's sport. Sad, but with all the drama at KTM, and budgets all over the place in all the teams, change will happen.
I might add, we have also heard Gajser to Ducati, Coenen going to HRC, Coenens going to USA, next year, or even for just a single race, and none of those things are happening, so that is the reason we don't like rumours. Its always a 50% change the rumour news is wrong, so you cannot trust them. Until its official, nothing is secure and that is a fact.
Teams, riders and managers love to get stuff/rumours out there, to build a riders asking price and that is simply why we wait for the official press releases.
