Sasha Slays In Trentino
Sasha Coenen produced the perfect weekend with a 1-1 performance at the very tricky circuit in Arco de Trento, winning his first GP of the season. The Belgian teenager, racing for the Red Bull KTM factory team was very consistent today (and won the Saturday qualifier), something he is showing more of as his career really starts to take shape.
Second overall was Triumph factory rider, Guillem Farres with 3-2 and third overall was Kawasaki factory rider, Mathis Valin with 2-7. The championship fight between Simon Langenfelder and Coenen is now down to just three points with a five weekend break. The points are Simon Längenfelder 244 points, Sacha Coenen 241pts, Guillem Farres 204pts, Liam Everts 202pts and Camden Mc Lellan 185 pts.
Sasha Coenen: Really nice the perfect weekend. I crashed near the end, but was able to still hold the lead for the win. I feel okay, we look forward to the next races. For sure I needed this, coming from last weekend I was pissed, but now I am happy.
MX2 Moto Two

Coenen again the holeshot in the second MX2 moto, with Grau second, then Mikula, Langenfelder, Janis Reisulis, Karlis Reisulis, Zanchi, Farres and Lata. Everts was top five, but crashed out and back near last.
Coenen making quick time as he held a 2.1 second lead over Grau, with Mikula three seconds back and Langenfelder 5.6 back. Within a lap the lead by Coenen was 4.5 second and he was flying. Everts quickly up to 19th place.
Mikula into second place and the top ten on lap one was Coenen, Mikula, Grau, Langenfelder, Farres, Karlis Reisulis, Janis Reisulis, Karssemakers, Zanchi and Lata. Everts up to 16th spot. McLellan also not great in 13th spot.
Lap two and the lead by Coenen was now 5.3 as Farres moved into fourth place and is making good ground on the front men. Langenfelder into third place and Everts into 15th place. A lead of 5.8 for Coenen as he clocked the quickest lap of the race.
Top ten on lap five was Coenen, Mikula, Langenfelder, Farres, Karli Reisulis, Janis Reisulis, Zanchi, Grau, Karssemakers and Lata. Farres into third as he passed Langenfelder. Farres and Langenfelder getting close to Mikula.Everts up to 13th place as Valin moved into 10th place and Lata dropped to 12th.
Lap nine and the lead was 14 seconds for Coenen, with Farres into second and then came Mikula, Langenfelder, Karlis Reisulis, Janis Reisulis, Zanchi, Karssemakers, Valin, McLellan in 10th. Everts 11th. Langenfelder into third with a pass on Mikula.
McLellan a mistake and he dropped back a few places and handed Everts 10th place. Valin passed Karssemakers for seventh and Coenen slipped over, but go up quickly enough to not lose the lead. Coenen wins the moto and the GP. Farres second in the moto and second overall and third Langenfelder.
