  • Race Report

Former World number two and multiple British motocross and Arenacross champion Tommy Searle of the Dirt Store Kawasaki team has won the overall for the MX2 class at the Hawkstone Park round of the British championship and Fastest 40 series.

Tommy Searle: This might motivate me and I might start doing some gym work again. Jokes aside, I am really happy to win that, this class is fast, but dropping down to MX2 makes it harder work than I thought. The starts are so important and today I ripped two unbelievable starts. I kept pulling away and I really enjoyed it. Thanks to Dirt Store Kawasaki for putting the effort in and I can't thank those guys enough.

MX2 Moto Two

Searle led the second MX2 moto from Askew and Brookes, with Chambers fourth, then Valk in fifth. Brookes down and while Searle was getting away from the pack, Askew remained second, then Chambers and Valk. Rizzi in fifth but catching the guys ahead. Two laps in the lead was 4.6 seconds as Searle giving us a vintage performance on the 250.

Not a lot happening, although Rizzi did lose a spot as he slide over and allowed Chambers to get away. Searle still led, then Askew, Chambers, Rizzi, Valk, Walsh, Hammal, Jones, Nicholls. On lap seven it was Searle, with Chambers, Rizzi and Valk in a great battle for second place. Valk into third and going after Chambers.

Great battle between Chambers in second and Valk third. The Dutchman pushing hard to get past the American.

Searle wins the moto and the overall with 2-1 results, second in the moto was Chambers, followed by Valk and Rizzie, with Askew fifth. Second overall was Rizzi with 1-4 and third Valk with 3-3.
