Sexton Back for Redbud
Racerx have confirmed that defending AMA motocross champion, Chase Sexton of the Red Bull KTM factory team, has signed up for this weekend’s RedBud National. It will be Sexton's first race since the opening laps of the season. RedBud is a home race for the midwestern-born Sexton.
Sexton has only raced one moto this season, the first moto of round one at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, where he crashed early in the race. He walked off the track but hasn’t raced since. Sexton and the team have been tight-lipped about the injuries he sustained that kept him from racing for so long.
Following the opener, the team reported he would miss round 2 at Hangtown, but said that he did not sustain any broken bones, but was “banged” up, after his crash at the opener.
