Husqvarna factory rider, Malcolm Stewart has won the opening SX1 race, after both Lawrence brothers crashed on the opening lap, and Tom Vialle also struggled after coming together with Jett Lawrence in that crash.

Malcolm Stewart: I think its the hype from the fans. A huge thanks to the organization and I am glad to get one race for the win and you keep yelling and you will see your boy fast in the whoops.

Cooper Webb: It was good to lead some laps but I had some trouble. Nice holeshot, just a decent race and nice to get some laps.

The opening SX1 race started with Malcolm Stewart with the lead, but Webb quickly moved past, as Hunter Lawrence crashed in the first corner and Jett was pushed off the track in turn two by Tom Vialle and the Lawrence brothers were last and 12th.

Webb a nice lead over Stewart with Soubeyras third. Both Lawrence brothers struggling in 11th and 13th and not really making a move forward. Vialle in his HRC debut back in 14th place and despite a huge HRC pit, they are finding this opening race tough.

Webb with a nice lead over Stewart and Hunter Lawrence now moving through the field and into seventh, while Jett into 11th place. Stewart pushing Webb for the lead with time running out, but the Husky rider is making life tough for Webb.

Stewart into the lead as Webb ran off the track and lost even more ground. Hunter still in seventh and Jett back in 12th place, with Vialle 13th. Harrison a crash and Hunter Lawrence into fifth place and now going after Welton. Jett into 11th spot. Stewart wins it with a 12 second lead from Webb and Soubeyras. Hunter finished fourth and Jett in 8th.
