Team Australia - MXoN
Team Australia will not surprisingly defend their Chamberlain Trophy in America this year. The Lawrence brothers and Kyle Webster won the title back in 2024 at Matterley Basin, the first time ever and Australian team had won the event, and with nominations now closed for the 2025 event.
It became clear those three want to defend, but there is also talk of Jed Beaton being drafted into the team, as he battles Webste for the 450 title in Australia this year. Either would of course drop down to the MX2 class, which is very possible as both are very good 250 riders.
The Aussie federation put out a post on their social media giving details about the possible team line-up, but it won't be decided for a little while yet. Hard to see them NOT allow Webster to be involved as the complete HRC effort did wonders for their chances last year.
“Nominations for the 2025 Motocross of Nations are now officially closed and, as expected, Jett Lawrence and Hunter Lawrence have nominated and will 100 percent be locking in their spots to defend the Chamberlin Trophy for Team Australia. As for the third rider, the battle is still on. With a crop of incredibly talented Aussie riders putting in strong results, the final selection is yet to be made, but rest assured, it’s going to be one of the most competitive line-ups we’ve ever had.”
