Federazione Motociclistica Italiana announced the national team that will represent Italy at the 2025 Motocross of Nations, scheduled for 3 to 5 October at the Ironman Raceway in the United States.

Italy will line up at the start with a top-level team, ready to compete with the best riders in the world. The riders called up to wear the Maglia Azzurra, selected by FMI Technical Commissioner Thomas Traversini, are:

Antonio Cairoli. A name that needs no introduction. Nine-time World Champion, he will race in the MXGP class. His presence on the Ducati represents a unique combination of prestige and Italian spirit.

Andrea Adamo. Fourth consecutive call-up for the young talent who has already made his mark at the highest international level. 2023 MX2 World Champion, he is fighting for the 2025 title and will race in the aforementioned category at the Nations.

Andrea Bonacorsi, EMX250 European Champion in 2023, currently enjoying steady growth in MXGP, is ready to give his best in the MXOpen category.

Giovanni Copioli, FMI President: “Presenting the team during the Six Days final, in front of an enthusiastic crowd, was a truly wonderful moment. I am convinced that we can do well in America, counting on the vast experience of Antonio Cairoli, a very fast rider who has already won a Nations Trophy with the Italian national team. It will be great to see him back racing for the national team. Bonacorsi and Adamo have already achieved great results together, just think of the podium in 2023, so we expect great things from them too."

Thomas Traversini, FMI Technical Commissioner: "I expect a very balanced Nations Championship in which we have all the potential to be among the protagonists. Cairoli, who has always maintained his speed and physical fitness, has been training hard on his bike lately and is ready for the challenge. Andrea Adamo and Andrea Bonacorsi are proving their worth in the World Championship, where they are constantly fighting for the top positions."
