Team Spain - MXoN 2024
No big surprise with the Spanish team for the 2024 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations. Leading the way is World MXGP champion Jorge Prado, with Oriol Oliver on the MX2 bike and Rubén Fernández in MXGP. These three men will once again wear the colors of Spain in the 77th edition of the Motocross of Nations, which will take place on October 4, 5 and 6 in Matterley Basin, England.
Amazingly, Spain have often struggled at the Nations, even finishing 18th the last time the event was run at Matterley Basin in 2017, with Prado going 28-40 and having a horrible day. This team should easily be able to contest a podium finish, but so many good teams this year, who knows where the Spaniard end the weekend.
They have finished around seventh or eighth in the last few Nations and didn't race the Covid butchered event at Mantova in Italy in 2021. Prado did go 3-3 at the 2018 event at Redbud, in a very good performance, but was let down with his team-mates not running so well.
