Team USA might not be what it used to be, but the fact they are coming, is always a highlight, even if they are not really considered a serious threat for victory and a podium would also be something of a win for them, their appearance is always welcome.

USA have won this event more than any other team and their run of 13 wins straight from 1981 until 1994 was just stunning, as was their run of seven wins straight from 2005 until 2011. Many legends have set their foot into the red, white and blue of Team USA, names like Bob Hannah, Brad Lackey, David Bailey, Johnny O’Mara, Jeff Ward, Ricky Johnson, Broc Glover, Jeff Stanton, Jeff Emig, Ricky Carmichael, Ryan Villopoto, Ryan Dungey, Cooper Webb, Eli Tomac and many more.
