Team USA vs Team GB - VMXdN
It is going to be hard work for Team GB when the VMXdN comes around in September, with Team USA sending a very strong team. Obviously, Mike Brown is the king of veteran’s races and going by the results in Lorretta Lynn’s last week, a new king might have arrived in former Team USA rider, Andrew Short.
The VMXdN Foxhill 2024 will be held on 22 - 26 August at Foxhill MX Track, Foxhill, Swindon, United Kingdom. Without doubt, a must see for lovers of veteran racing, or motocross in general. Find more information right here or here. To book your tickets go here.
Short who has won the Motocross of Nations with team USA in the past is a perfect fit for the Foxhill event. Also in Team USA is Sean Lipanovich, another former AMA Nationals man. Team GB has Tommy Searle, Brad Anderson and Elliot Banks Browne, while other teams with a good shot are Team Italy, Team Rest of The World, and of course Northern Ireland.
Some of the big names involved in the team races, are former World motocross champions, Alessio Chiodi, and David Philippaerts, American Keith Johnson (racing for team New England/USA), former GP riders, Martin Barr, and Graeme Irwin. Team list below.
VMXdN Foxhill (Vets Motocross des Nations) is a nostalgic and incredibly popular international race weekend using ‘vintage’ 1990's and 2000's era two stroke machines.
The International Team VMXdN race is a firm favourite with the fans, which sees former pro riders compete from all over the world. Keep your eyes peeled as we have many new and returning international riders to be announced!
Plus for 2024 the return of ‘The Wright Engineering Team Race’. Teams will represent the crème de la crème of the British MX scene alongside some fan favourites from further afield. The Wright Engineering Team Race really is a who's who of the motocross scene, both past and present, all doing battle on 20-year-old two strokes! It will be something to see and provide a fantastic addition to the schedule of 8 further races with riders aged from 16 through to 60’s!
