Jordi Tixier takes his first ADAC MX Masters race win of the season. Nico Greutmann with lights-to-flag victory in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup. Ryan Oppliger lives up to his role at the front in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85.

In summer weather and excellent racing conditions, the fans experienced a great start to the ADAC MX Masters in Gaildorf on Saturday. In the top class, Jordi Tixier (F/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by Krettek) secured his first race win of the season.

Nico Greutmann (CH/Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna) took a lights-to-flag victory in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup. In the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85, Ryan Oppliger (CH/Oppliger Racing Sàrl) won the first race. Gyan Doensen (Racestore KTM Factory Junior Team) took pole position for Sunday's races in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125.

The fighting spirit of the injury-plagued Jordi Tixier was rewarded on Saturday in Gaildorf with the race victory in the first race. As LS2 Best Qualifier, the Frenchman already proved his strength on the hard surface track in the morning.

He converted pole position into a start in the top three and took the lead after the first third of the race from Noah Ludwig (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team), who had previously pushed Marcel Stauffer (A/Osicka MX Team) from the top.

One lap later, Tom Koch (D/Kosak Racing Team) took over second place and tried to shorten the gap to Tixier. But the Frenchman controlled the lead until the finish and won ahead of Koch, Ludwig, Adam Sterry (GB/Schmicker Racing) and championship leader Max Nagl (D/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by Krettek), who crashed on the first lap.

"It took me a few laps to find my rhythm, but then I just focused on myself and tried to keep the error rate low. I'm happy with my first win of the season," Tixier concluded at the finish.

In the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, Nico Greutmann sprinted to the Red Bull Holeshot ahead of Valentin Kees (D/Kosak Racing Team) and LS2 Best Qualifier Paul Bloy (D/Hegau Racing Team). Greutmann continuously extended his lead over the course of the race. Kees, for his part, controlled second place.

At the halfway point of the race, Leon Rudolph (D/Enduro Koch Racing) took over third place from Bloy, who also had to let Bradley Mesters (NL/Kosak Racing Team) pass him on the last lap. Greutmann extended his lead in the standings with the victory ahead of Kees, Rudolph, Mesters and Bloy, as his closest title rivals did not score: Dave Kooiker (NL/Schmicker Racing) retired with a broken chain five laps before the end of the race and Maxime Grau (F/WZ-Racing KTM) was absent from Gaildorf due to an injury.

"That was a very good race that was a lot of fun. Finally I had a good start and was able to parry with my pace every time Valentin applied pressure. I've now won good points with the run," Nico Greutmann said happily during the winner's interview.
