Tixier Tops Saturday - ADAC
In the ADAC MX Masters class, Jordi Tixier (F/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by Krettek) triumphed in the first race. Alessandro Gaspari (I/Kosak Racing Team) took pole position for the Sunday races in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125.
Tixier defeats fast starter Tom Koch Tom Koch (D/Kosak Racing Team) secured the Red Bull Holeshot and initially led the field ahead of Dennis Ullrich (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) and the LS2 Best Qualifier Jordi Tixier. However, some favorites, including Henry Jacobi (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) and Cornelius Töndel (NO/Schmicker Racing), crashed in the starting corner.
Tixier and Marcel Stauffer (A/Osicka MX Team) pushed Ullrich out of second place on the fifth lap. Tixier quickly closed the gap to Koch and took the lead two laps later. The 2024 ADAC MX Masters champion, Max Nagl (D/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by Krettek), started sixth and initially fell back to eighth place, but worked his way back up over the course of the race. Five laps before the end, Nagl secured fourth place by overtaking Ullrich. The top five were ultimately: Tixier ahead of Koch, Stauffer, Nagl and Ullrich.
"The conditions were perfect for me today as they were very similar to the French tracks. I quickly found my rhythm and took advantage of a small mistake by Tom to take the lead. I'm already looking forward to tomorrow," said Tixier after his victory.
ADAC MX Youngster Cup: Nico Greutmann is the new champion The first round of the ADAC MX Youngster Cup provided excitement and variety. Constantin Piller (D/Yamaha Meyer Racing) initially led the field.
The LS2 Best Qualifier Tom Schröder (D/Gasgas) dropped from second place after the first lap and was eliminated after four laps. This moved Bradley Mesters (NL/Kosak Racing Team) and Nico Greutmann into the top three. On the fifth lap, the duo passed Piller, who retired after a heavy crash four laps before the end of the race. Bence Pergel (HU/HTS KTM) inherited third place, but was overtaken by Jaroslav Katrinak (SK/MRA Racing Team) one lap later.
On the penultimate lap, Mesters' chain came off, allowing Greutmann to take the lead and seal his title with the race win. Greutmann won ahead of Katrinak, Ryan Alexanderson (AU/WZ-Racing KTM), Morgan Bennati (I/Fly Over Competition-Gaerne) and Mesters. "I got off to a good start and then prepared a strategy for the rest of the race, in which I wanted to attack on the last lap. Then, surprisingly, I was already in the lead one lap earlier. It was fantastic with all the Swiss fans on the side of the track cheering me on every lap," said Greutmann, beaming happily.
