Monster Energy Yamaha rider Eli Tomac has won A2 and extended his lead in the AMA 450 supercross championship of 2022. The former SX champion also became the fourth rider to win a main event this year and what is becoming a very open title race.

Roczen led from Stewart, Tomac, Sexton, McElrath, Marvin Musquin, Dean Wilson, Cooper Webb, and Aaron Plessinger inside of the top 10. Anderson moved into position to be behind Stewart for second and was quickly past the Husky rider to start to close up on Roczen. A little further back Tomac and Sexton were looking fast and Tomac moved into third place after passing Stewart.

Anderson passed Roczen then Eli Tomac was right on him though for the lead as Roczen crashed and remounted in 13^th before pulling off the track to fix his goggles and. would then fall to 21st.

Tomac then passed Anderson for the lead as Anderson slipped back to second as Chase Sexton closed in from third. Roczen climbed to 13th place, but is now seriously down the series points and looking in trouble.

Eli Tomac was riding like Tomac winning from Anderson and Sexton, with Ferrandis fourth and Stewart fifth.
