In front of a small crowd, Star Racing Yamaha rider Eli Tomac has won the superfinal at the opening round of the World Supercross Championship, and doing so with a flat tyre. The AMA legend passed Ken Roczen to take the win after the German led early. Second was Roczen and third Colt Nichols. Shane Mcelrath was best 250 rider.

Cedric Soubeyras crashed in free practice today and has been taken to Vancouver General Hospital with a suspected hip injury. All our thoughts here at WSX are with Cedric and we wish him a full and speedy recovery.
