Triumph Factory Racing looks forward to building upon its success in the FIM Motocross World Championship, as Camden McLellan and Guillem Farres target a strong 2026 campaign. The talented duo will compete in the MX2 division aboard the TF 250-X, and after delivering race wins and multiple podium finishes in 2025, the stage is set for an exceptional season.

At round five of the 2025 campaign, McLellan secured his and Triumph’s maiden race win in the MX2 World Championship. Throughout the year, the South African stood on the overall podium on two occasions on his way to achieving a career-best fifth place in the final standings. Now entering his third season within the familiar surroundings of Triumph Factory Racing, McLellan is fully focused on claiming his first world title in 2026.

Having spent much of the off-season refining the finer details of his TF 250-X, Farres is feeling confident and well prepared for the 19-round campaign. Like McLellan, the Spaniard also charged to the first race win of his career in 2025, in addition to claiming two further podium results. Despite missing three Grands Prix due to injury last year, Guillem ended his first season aboard Triumph machinery in eighth overall.

Following round one in Argentina this weekend, the MX2 Motocross World Championship calendar includes visits to 16 other countries, with the 19th and final Grand Prix scheduled to take place in Darwin, Australia, on September 20.

Camden McLellan: “Over the off-season I’ve worked hard on improving my speed, particularly in the opening laps during training, while also making sure I’m stronger physically and mentally. With the support of the team and a bike I feel confident on, the aim is to be consistently on the podium and put myself in contention for the world title. Last year taught me how important it is to stay positive and push through when things don’t go my way. That’s been the biggest change for me coming into this season – approaching challenges with a stronger, more positive mentality. The 2026 calendar looks exciting, especially with a Grand Prix in South Africa on the schedule. The track is just 40 minutes from where I grew up in Johannesburg, so that round will be incredibly special.”

Guillem Farres: “We’ve put in a lot of work as a team over the off-season and I’m happy with everything as we approach the new season. I’ve been closely involved in developing and upgrading the bike, trying different settings and components to find what suits me best, and together we’ve made some strong improvements. It’s a long championship, and I learned a lot about the tracks and the competition last year. So, for this season I feel much more prepared. I’ve focused heavily on sand training and improving the weaker areas from last year, while building on my strengths – starts, first-lap speed, and passing. Racing at my home Grand Prix will be a special highlight for me, and overall, the goal is to stay consistent, fight at the front, and challenge for the podium in every race.”

Vincent Bereni – Triumph Factory Racing Team Manager: “It's been months of work for the crew and the riders, and now we’re finally on our way to round one. In my opinion, both riders have improved a lot, both on and off the bike. They’ve ticked all the boxes we set during the off-season and made real progress. As a team, it’s a great feeling when you see everything starting to come together and the progress being made. But ultimately, only racing at the highest level will tell us exactly where we stand. We made some changes during the off-season and worked to reset and improve in areas where we knew we needed to be better. I feel like we’re more connected now, and overall, the team, crew, and riders have all taken a good step forward. We’re not the newcomers anymore, so naturally expectations are higher. We decided not to line up at any pre-season races, as we now have plenty of data and understand the bikes and riders much better. Spending more time focused on improving the bike was the main priority, and I believe we’ve made a good step forward with the 2026 race bike. I’m sure the competition has worked just as hard, and that’s what makes racing exciting. Let’s see where we are after the weekend.”

Ian Kimber – Head of Global Racing Programmes, Triumph Motorcycles: “Heading into our third campaign in the FIM MX2 World Championship is exciting and we’ve been looking forward to the start of the season. The team has been working incredibly hard in the preparation for this year, and with two seasons under our belt with some great highlights in this ultra-competitive class, there is a positive feeling going into Argentina. With the guidance of Vince and Clement Desalle, both riders have put focus into the areas they feel they can improve. Camden has matured as a racer, while Guillem has benefited from having a full season under his belt to tailor the bike to his needs and adapt to all of the tracks in the long season of MXGP. With the bike, the team, and our engineers at Triumph, along with our partners, we continue to strive for performance improvements, and we have found further steps with the Triumph Factory Racing TF 250-X. We can’t wait to get the new season underway.”
