Tyla Bowers has shown good form while being in Europe this winter. The bad boy of AMA supercross has races in Finland and Holland and will line up next weekend for the Barcelona supercross, where he might just be the favourite to win it.

MXLarge: The headline phrase will not like your countrymen ...

Bowers: If I don't bet on myself, I'd better stay at home! I think that my great experience in arenacross and the fact of having participated in many races in Europe places me with a lot of advantage in the Palau Sant Jordi. And I say more: the podium in Barcelona will not be 100% American.

MXlarge: Go "bombita"! Which non-American pilot will get into the drawer?

Bowers: The fastest of the French of the SX Tour will be in the top-3. Insurance. One of Justin Bogle and Benny Bloss will be left out.

MXlarge: We hope to see great battles between the "Triple-B", yes ...

Bowers: Of course. Barcelona fans are going to have a good show this year. Bogle is brutal at the start and his style and speed on the track are incredible. Bloss and I have maintained very intense duels in many races of the season and we have both commented on what we like those fights. Let everyone prepare to see elbows!

MXlarge: How is Tyler Bowers on a supercross track?

Bowers: An aggressive pilot who never fails, who never gives up. And I'm very good at advancing on the speed stretches! I am somewhat more voluminous than the average of pilots but, in return, I am physically stronger. My experience in arenacross has also made me very fast in the decision making process.

MXLarge: Which do you prefer: the jumps, the curves, the exit fence, the dubbies ...?

Bowers: Undoubtedly, the dubbies! Hum, I think that to stand out in the outings I should still practice something else ...

MXLarge: Do the Americans in Europe run with extra pressure because they are always favorites?

Bowers: The pressure comes more from outside, for the desire that European pilots have for us. To say that you have won an AMA pilot you saw a lot! Surely the Europeans will have something prepared for Barcelona ... but they won't catch me off guard!

MXlarge: Have you tried freestyle motocross?

Bowers: When I was younger I was marking some of the oldest, simple and boring tricks of freestyle: heel-clicker, Superman or nac-nac, for example. What FMX riders do today is even hard to believe!

MXlarge: But for "momentazo", yours a few weeks ago running alongside Travis Pastrana with your 1991 KX500 ...

Bowers: It was a pass! And not only to run against Travis and beat him ... but also to be able to fly again that two-stroke monster that I have!
