Verona Leads Italy to Victory
GASGAS Factory Racing's Andrea Verona has stormed to an emphatic Enduro2 class victory at the 2025 6DAYS FIM Enduro of Nations in Bergamo, Italy. Racing in front of a passionate home crowd, Verona also finished as a close second in the overall individual classification and played a key role in leading Team Italy to the top step of the World Trophy podium. Awesome ride, Andrea!
- Verona wins 6DAYS Enduro2 class for the second year running
- EC 450F racer claims second overall individually after six intense days of racing
- Team Italy top the World Trophy standings on home soil
Racing his GASGAS EC 450F, Verona came out swinging on day one and immediately made his presence known. Locked in an intense battle with KTM’s Josep Garcia from the opening special test, the two traded test wins throughout the week. Andrea kept the pressure on by topping the overall times on day four, showing his speed and determination in front of the home fans.
Heading into Friday’s final motocross test, Verona trailed Garcia by just 40 seconds overall. With the Enduro2 victory firmly in hand, he gave it everything in the final moto in an effort to close the gap in the outright standings. A strong start put him in third, and although he crossed the line fifth, it was enough to lock in second overall. Rounding things out in style, he celebrated his third career 6DAYS class title with another E2 victory.
Fueled all week by the incredible support of the Italian fans, Verona’s performance aboard his dialed-in GASGAS EC 450F was nothing short of world-class. Alongside his countrymen – Samuel Bernardini, Manolo Morettini, and Morgan Lesiardo - Andrea helped lead Team Italy to the coveted World Trophy win, capping off an unforgettable week of racing on home soil.
Andrea Verona: “This feels amazing – there was such a crazy crowd here in Italy! It’s been a long week, but it’s been so much fun and the whole team rode really well to take the World Trophy win. After missing out last year, it feels great to come back and take a good result, especially at home in Italy. For me, I’m happy with my week, I made a few little mistakes, but that comes from pushing so hard. I had a great battle with Josep – congratulations to him – and I’m pleased to have taken the win in E2 and finish as runner-up in the overall. It’s been an amazing event with incredible support from all the Italian fans, so a big thank you to all of them, too.”
