Vialle Wins in Italy

Tom Vialle of the Red Bull KTM Factory team scored his 14th GP victory after winning todays Trentino opening with 1-1 scores. The Frenchman also gained a lot of points on series leader Maxime Renaux who crashed in the second moto, starting last, and fought through to inside the top ten. Renaux went 6-8. Jago Geerts finished second with 2-2 results and third was Fernandez with 4-4 results.

The championship points lead is now 92 points to Geerts, with Vialle four points behind Geerts. The points are now Maxime Renaux 563 points, Jago Geerts 471 pts, Tom Vialle 467 pts, Mattia Guadagnini 443 pts and Jed Beaton 429 pts.

Vialle in the lead again out of turn one in the second MX2 moto, while Renaux was down in the first corner and a long way back in last place. Hofer in second place, then Beaton, Geerts, Gwerder, Fernandez, Laengenfelder, de Wolf, Guyon and Guadagnini in 10th.

Two laps in and Renaux was up to 25th spot, with Vialle two seconds ahead of Hofer in first place, Geerts got around Beaton and Guadaganini moved into 8th. Three laps and Renaux moved into 18th and was charging hard.

Hofer down in second and lets Geerts take over that position, and after four laps it was Vialle, Geerts, Hofer, Beaton, Fenandez, Gwerder, de Wolf, Guadagnini, Guyon and Langenfelder in 10th. Renaux was 17th.

Benistant down on lap eight and the top ten was Vialle with a 1.6 second lead over Geerts, then Beaton, Fernandez, Hofer, de Wolf, Guadagnini, Guyon, Gifting and Renaux now 10th. Renaux into ninth place as Gifting made a small mistake trying to block the Frenchman.

After 13 laps Vialle held a two second lead over Geerts, with Beaton third, then Fernandez, Hofer, de Wolf, Guadaganini, Guyon, Renaux and Gifting 10th. Geerts was all over Vialle in the final two laps, in a fight not only for the moto win, but the GP victory. Vialle wins it from Geerts and Beaton.
