Dean Wilson showed what a brilliant sportsman he is, winning the second round of the Australian supercross championship and dedicated the win to his mother, who passed away last night.

Going 1-1 again, the Scotsman who has seen both his parents struggling with cancer, put the sadness aside and showed what a professional he is.

There was no celebration as Wilson joined his partner and child and then his team-mates. Wilson has now gone 1-1-1-1 for the opening two rounds and is without question the heavy favourite going into rounds three.

Dean Wilson: Yep. Last night I raced for my mum, tonight I had a guardian angle, I lost my mum this morning and this is for her.
