ADAC - This Weekend
This coming weekend (9/10 August), the sixth round of the ADAC MX Masters in Gaildorf promises several highlights. All four racing classes ADAC MX Masters, ADAC MX Youngster Cup, ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 will start on the traditional race track.
At the 60th anniversary of a motocross race "Auf der Wacht", Max Nagl (D/Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing powered by Krettek) competes as the leader in the ADAC MX Masters class. In the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, Bradley Mesters (NL/Kosak Racing Team) holds the lead. Ian Ampoorter (B/F4E GasGas Junior Racing Team) leads the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125. After an event break, the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 continues, where Lucas Leok (EST/KTM MX Futures) is in front.
In the top class ADAC MX Masters, Max Nagl has led the championship since the start of the season, but there has been a different winner at every race so far. After a difficult weekend in Tensfeld, Nagl lost some of his lead over his closest rival Roan Van de Moosdijk (NL/Kosak Racing Team). Maximilian Spies (D/Becker Racing) is in third place in the standings, also within reach of the top and wants to reduce his gap.
Jörgen-Matthias Talviku (EST/JMT Esttrans Yamaha Keskus Racing Team) is longing for his first event win after a very consistent season and Noah Ludwig (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) will be hoping to build on his strong start to the season. Jordi Tixier (F/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by DVAG) is one of the other favourites for a race win on the hard-surface circuit.
Jere Haavisto (FIN/GripMesser Racing Team), Emil Weckmann (FIN/SHR Motorsports by Hartje), Jakub Teresak (CZ/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by DVAG) and Kevin Brumann (CH/MX-Handel Husqvarna Racing) are other top international riders. With Vaclav Kovar (CZ/Becker Racing), the newly crowned two-stroke European champion has also entered the starting lists.
From a German point of view, Nico Koch (D/Becker Racing), Cato Nickel (D/Bauerschmidt Husqvarna), Peter König (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team), Tim Koch (D/Visualz Production) and Mark Scheu (D/Johannes-Bikes Suzuki) are hoping for good placings.
In addition to the ADAC MX Masters class, the ADAC MX Youngster Cup and the junior classes ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 will also compete in Gaildorf, which will provide exciting races. The ADAC MX Masters and ADAC MX Youngster Cup classes will each contest three ranked races at the weekend, while the two ADAC MX Junior Cup classes will each contest two ranked races. The first races for championship points will take place on Saturday, immediately after the Last Chance race.
In addition to the races, there is a full supporting programme for the spectators on site in Gaildorf with a large fan mile, a freely accessible paddock and a large marquee with live music on three evenings. Young visitors have the opportunity to try out small quads and PW50 motorcycles on the Yamaha quad course.
On Sunday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Max Nagl, Roan Van de Moosdijk, Maximilian Spies and local hero Kevin Winkle will be available to fans at the autograph session at the ADAC MX Masters truck. In the marquee on Friday from 8 p.m., the Zillertal band "Höllawind" will start a hearty evening.
On Saturday, the rock cover band "Lost Eden" will play. The finale on Sunday will be provided by the regionally known and popular "DJ Heiner". Tickets for the event can be purchased online in advance at the Ticket shop of the MSC Gaildorf.
