World Champion Jett Lawrence has finally claimed the one trophy that had eluded him, winning the Boost Mobile AUSX Open presented by Monster Energy, in front of one of Australia's biggest supercross crowd at Marvel Stadium.

Racing at home for the first time since securing his third straight SuperMotocross World Championship and helping deliver Australia its second consecutive Motocross of Nations title, Jett produced a dominant performance, avoiding the chaos that derailed his campaign last year to secure a popular victory in the premier SX1 class. Jett was ecstatic to finally win the Boost Mobile AUSX Open, Australia’s premier supercross event.

"To finally get it on my third attempt was unreal. I’m super stoked to do it in front of the Aussie crowd — I’ve been here three times and hadn’t been able to get a win until now. Third time’s the charm, thankfully. The atmosphere was electric, and it honestly made the night feel really special. These are the kind of core memories I’ll carry through my whole career. It was an awesome."

The 10th anniversary AUSX Open saw the Marvel Stadium transformed with 6,500 tonnes of dirt creating the largest supercross race track outside the United States.

Consistency Holds as Hunter Salvages Third

Dean Wilson delivered one of the most composed rides of the night to secure second place in SX!, using consistency to outlast the chaos and strengthen his lead in the championship heading into the final round. Hunter Lawrence, the defending AUSX Open Champion, fought his way onto the podium in third, giving the Melbourne crowd a glimpse of the intensity that has defined his season.

The SX1 class was headlined by a star-studded field that also included Cédric Soubeyras, Phil Nicoletti, Luke Clout, Aaron Tanti, Dylan Walsh, Matt Moss and Hayden Mellross.

Cole Thomspon defeats defending champion Shane McElrath in SX2

In SX2, defending champion Shane McElrath made a highly anticipated return to the series — but the night belonged to Cole Thompson. Thompson won the first final and finished third in the second to claim the overall win from McElrath and Ryder Kingsford. Thompson’s victory electrified Marvel Stadium and marked him as a rising force ahead of the season finale.

Lux Turner, who had carried strong momentum into Melbourne, crashed out during qualifying injuring his wrist and missed the night’s racing.

Malinoski Dominates SX3 as Junior Racers Thrill Fans

Ryder Malinoski delivered a flawless performance in the SX3 final, leading from start to finish as drama unfolded behind him. Jack Deveson secured second and Koby Hantis completed the podium in third.

Spectators also witnessed the next generation of racers competing in the 85cc class and the Yamaha 65cc Cup, complemented by FMX stunts, live music, and immersive fan experiences.

Stadium Shines for MXoN Champions

In one of the night’s most memorable scenes, Marvel Stadium lit up as thousands of fans raised their phone lights to honour Australia’s Motocross of Nations champions — Jett Lawrence, Hunter Lawrence and Kyle Webster. Wearing their green and gold MXoN colours the trio completed a special lap of honour celebrating their historic back-to-back victory and were met with a standing ovation.

Boost Mobile AUSX Open Event Director Kelly Bailey said it was special moment for Australian motorsport fans. “Their success on the world stage inspires the next generation. We set out to deliver a world-class event for the 10-year milestone — and tonight exceeded every expectation.”
