  • Race Report

The impressive young Belgian, Lucas Coenen has put together an impressive sand performance with a 1-1 result in Finland today. The Red Bull KTM factory rider made some mistakes, even crashed in the second moto, but is just too quick for the opposition at the moment.

Lucas Coenen: I was ambition, I was always getting second, second and in the race I switched on and off, but two moto wins and I had problems with the clutch because it was bent. I saw Romain and I knew I had to push and push and we keep building. Today I turned it on and super happy about that.

Romain Febvre: I worked the most in the weekend. Yesterday a crash and I had to fight and first moto a crash and the second moto I had a bad start and I saw Lucas ahead and I tried something, but for sure, we have to do something on the start, to win a race I need to get the start. I try not to worry about the championship and we know we have to start at the front, or life won't be easy.

Calvin Vlaanderen: It has been months of hard work and so nice to see it pay off, not just for me, but the whole team and it is no secret we have been struggling, so I want to say a big thanks to the team, my girlfriend and my family. It is nice to do this with the Yamaha celebrations this weekend.
