KOVE and MXGP in 2027

Jun 3

We reported late last year of the plans of Kove motorcycles to get involved in MXGP racing and the closer it gets to 2027, the more realistic that becomes.

Kove Factory Racing made it official at the end of 2025, planning a long-term entry into the FIM Motocross World Championship paddock with a structured phased roadmap starting in 2027. The Chinese manufacturer is following the footsteps of Triumph and Ducati by joining the series with the biggest audience in the sport.

With Infronts global coverage of the MXGP series, making it the most viewed series in the world for off-road motorcycle racing, has allowed the MXGP series to have more factory teams and riders than ever before and KOVE have also caught onto the value for their bike sales if they are involved in MXGP.

The factory team project is materializing through structural collaboration within the Grand Prix paddock, partnering with the infrastructure of the former TBS Conversions team. Kove is deploying substantial engineering and factory durability resources to transform its production models into race-ready prototypes capable of matching established factory giants.

All bikes are built by Tibet New Summit Motorcycle Co., Ltd., Kove's parent company, which has earned attention in the rally racing world for its participation in the Dakar Rally. Founded in 2017, KOVE MOTO integrates motorcycle D&R, design, manufacturing, production and sales, with the brand proposition of focusing on performance and the corporate vision of providing high-performance, high-quality and large-displacement sports motorcycles for motorcycle users and enthusiasts around the world.

As the international market continues to expand, more than 5000 units were exported, which were sold in Spain in the name of MACBOR MOTANA XR5, and in the name of JAWA RVM 500 in the Czech Republic.

KOVE has become the No. 4 domestic brand in China's motorcycle line in sales of models over 300cc. Its 500X ADV ranks first in domestic ADV production and has two factories in Chongqing and Chengdu. We focus on product design and development, with a development and design team of nearly 113 people. We also focus on product quality and fully implement IAFT16949 quality system. Our company also has assembly line, department assembly line, engine company, frame factory, silencer factory, CNC parts machining center, complete vehicle bench test bench, engine bench test bench, 3D inspection instrument, etc.
